Napa Tulips

Martha and I designed our own sketchcrawl, visiting some Sparkling Vineyards in the Napa area. We got a real bonus on the way to Mumm. There was a private home that had thousands of bulbs in full bloom! Boy, did we want to trespass! We got pretty darned close, peeking in the gate--we could not believe our eyes! This is my only painting of the flowers, but I intend to try some more and can't wait to see Martha's sketches posted. Sketching and sipping in Napa--that's the life--that's HOW I SEE IT!

One of the things I miss about living in Washington is when the tulips are in bloom in Skagit County. Acres upon acres of the things as far as the eye can see.

It seems like Napa is the place to be for a bright gay spring! Beautiful tulips. Love your linework and the colours sing with gaiety!

THANK YOU for sharing:)

BTW. Yes, I’ve read Alchemist long, long time ago. When you read books by Coelho, it opens your eyes a little and lift your spirit. He’s got this amazing ability of making you understand what’s really important in life to be happy.
