I am playing around with Palm Trees! These trees are at my brother's house in Florida. I tried sketching them a couple of ways, including just outlining the shapes. Fun!
Girl Oh Girl! These three trees treat my tastes! They would definately make wonderful postcards! Oh btw, You can move into my blog if you wish .........as long as you do the cleaning!! I'm still chuckling over your comment, thanks for making my day brighter!!
What a wonderful blog. You've certainly had some heartache this year, but your upbeat look at life comes through your art! Way to persevere! Beautiful art, too!
Hi Lisa Thanks for stopping by my blog and for your kind comments. I've just had a meander through your blog. Your colours are so fresh and bright and sunny. not like the colours we have here in Northern Ireland at the moment, but better weather is on its way. i'll be back soon. Lor Lor
My sketching started with a weekend trip to Mendocino Labor Day 2007 with my sister-in-law and soul friend, Gretchen. We enjoyed a one hour sketching class with Susie Long and the rest is history! It became a way of restoring some balance in the break-neck pace of the corporate world. Now, unemployed with time to put some things on paper, I just can't stop sketching and painting!
Thank you for stopping by to see some of the world "How I SEE IT".

I love that you are playing! And, I love all three..very free and breezy...but the last one is my "fav"! (Surprise, Surprise...)
Love the last one best too...kind of blurry abstraction of a palm...nice work all three!
You've captured Palm Treeness.
I love the third one as well. Love the energy created by the lines in the background. Colors are nice too.

Ooooh, I like all three of these! Each has it's own character creating a unique expression. What a fun way to work:)
I love palm trees -- and you have captured the palminess just perfectly! Fun stuff!
Love the variety... and your persistence! Wish we had Palms here.
