Chick-a-dee in Wimberley Texas

I squatted in the lane to sketch this little shop in the adorable little artist's town, then joined Martha http://www.trumpetvine.com/
while she did her version. (she is working long hours and will post soon) Nothing like a slow day in Wimberely, Texas...eating, shopping, sketching, talking....ahhhhh!

Oh you do these so well. I love this and the other one you did. Sounded like a fun day. Did you paint it on location too?

This is really sweet - I would love to see what is in the window displays!

I really like you style of sketching and painting. I love the sense of place, coming from the other side of the world, well, a long way off ;-)(didn't do geography at school, I was off with mumps) I digress, painting those things on your doorstep has a huge interest to other people, it seems boring and difficult to see but keep looking and recording. I'll keep coming back - if I can find my way!

Cris,
Yes, I painted this while sitting in front of the place with my handy dandy waterbrush and tiny travel palette.
