Fall Leaves in Wimberley Creek

"Winter is an etching, spring a watercolor, summer an oil painting and autumn a mosaic of them all." Stanley Horowitz

These leaves had fallen and floated like a beautiful mosaic in the creek behind the "Salty Chicken" Bed and Breakfast http://www.texasvacation.com/waterprop/34-waterprop/117 (where we stayed following the crawl) the http://www.sketchcrawl.com/ in Austin. I'd like to paint them, but love the photo too much to consider messing it up! I hope you will click on the photo to ENLARGE and see how pretty it really is! The bright blue is the really and truly the reflection of the sky. The bright white light is real sunlight--I did nothing to alter this photo--nature in action!!

I love Autumn SOOOO much--I hate to see it end!

Now this is inspiring. Makes me want to go paint. What do you mean "mess up"? Isn't that what this is... a big mess of leaves? I challenge you to get messy. :)

Totally agree, it's beautiful! I'm with you girl, I LOVE FALL, the colors are beyond beautiful! I've taken lots of pics and some of them are tempting to paint but I don't think I could do them the justice since they are so perfect.

You took an amazing photo! I might have to save this and use it as my desktop for a couple of months. This is wonderful - the colors are so brilliant - God is so awesome to have created something so beautiful for us to enjoy. Fall is my favorite time of year!

Oh yeah, you should definitely paint this! How can you mess it up? This is SO INSPIRING! Just play and have fun with it. The photo remains intact, so nothing to lose and everything to gain!

At first because of the wonderful brilant colors I thought this was a painting. WOW!!!! He did some good work in His creation ey?
Lovely photo. It would be nice to see it painted with those colors.
I am sad to see fall go also. Yet isn't there a beauty in winter all its own with the covering of snow covered branches?
