Yao the Dog

We had our first cold snap today and I got cozy. I listened to the "Disappearance of the Universe" on CD and sketched my crazy puppy dawg before heading to the Denton Artwalk and celebrated church lady, Linda's birthday.

Yao---what an energetic character. I adore him AND he drives me craaazzzy!

Oh yeah---Yao likes to blog, too....can you tell? There he checking out Capt.Elaine on my birthday! http://captelaine.blogspot.com/

These are great sketches, especially the portraits. They look so spontaneous - as I guess they are!

Yao looks like he's settled into your heart and hearth as only a puppy can. Great sketches too.

I love the dog sketches, how fab! I've been sketching Fudge (my terrier) all evening - from a series of photographs because she doesn't do still things, I'll try and upload it in the morning. We had a leaflet through the door this morning and she ripped it to shreds, I'm going to train her to attack brown envelopes!

Delightful sketches, Lisa. And it's no easy task to sketch a dog. Have you ever noticed how much more they move when you want them to stay still?

Yao looks like my boxer Bevo. And he does the same thing. He thinks he's a lap dog even though he weighs 75 pounds. Great Dog sketches. Awesome.
