Yao the Dog
We had our first cold snap today and I got cozy. I listened to the "Disappearance of the Universe" on CD and sketched my crazy puppy dawg before heading to the Denton Artwalk and celebrated church lady, Linda's birthday.
Yao---what an energetic character. I adore him AND he drives me craaazzzy!
Oh yeah---Yao likes to blog, too....can you tell? There he checking out Capt.Elaine on my birthday! http://captelaine.blogspot.com/

Oooh That little face is so precious!!! Great job!
These are great sketches of this guy! Wonderful character you captured!
These are wonderfully expressive sketches!
I think your dog is jealous of your mac lol, great sketches of him, you've captured his expressions!
Gorgeous pup, and great sketches.
These are great sketches, especially the portraits. They look so spontaneous - as I guess they are!
Yao looks like he's settled into your heart and hearth as only a puppy can. Great sketches too.
What a great pup! The sketches are awesome....all you daily sketchers are inspiring me to do more - I really need to push myself and improve. Great, great work. Have a fun day!
ha ha ha.... I didn't even notice the page he was looking at was mine... I feel like such a dope... Thanks Yao... you ARE a great doggy indeed.
Great dog portraits!! and a cute pooch ( my daughter has an english bulldog pup) and Fabulous tribute to Capt Elaine!
Great post! Yao is irresistable!
I have nominated your blog for another (well-deserved) award. Check out my blog for details.
I love the dog sketches, how fab! I've been sketching Fudge (my terrier) all evening - from a series of photographs because she doesn't do still things, I'll try and upload it in the morning. We had a leaflet through the door this morning and she ripped it to shreds, I'm going to train her to attack brown envelopes!
Delightful sketches, Lisa. And it's no easy task to sketch a dog. Have you ever noticed how much more they move when you want them to stay still?
Wow. You've got some great sketches here. Such great expressions.
I saw these sketches before and thought I commented but dont see it here. hmm I love the sketches of him and I love the photo of him wrapped around the laptop. :))
Hello hello, I came here from Cris's Blog (Cris in Oregon) and discover your sweet sweet drawings and you dog, what a dog!
You sketched him so very well,
nice to meet you,
Andrea
Yao looks like my boxer Bevo. And he does the same thing. He thinks he's a lap dog even though he weighs 75 pounds. Great Dog sketches. Awesome.
Lovely spontaneous feel to these sketches.
