We have an enormous Magnolia tree blooming like crazy in our front yard. It has been fun to watch the activities in this tree since we got here. We had a huge nest filled with baby Blue Jays the day we moved in, lots of squirrels and the blossoms themselves provide us with great entertainment!
As I sit and sip my mint julip on the front porch...that's the way I see it!

This is so beautiful! It must be a lot of fun watching all the activity in such a pretty tree.
How happy and delighted you sound...wonderful painting...rich greens and yummy creams...Well done! :)
Very nice :) And it must be relaxing after moving all that way too ;)
Beautiful magnolia!
Great sketch, Lisa! Painting white objects is quite a challenge, but no problem for you I see. And, magnolia's are my favorite tree: I'm jealous!
Beautiful!!
I'm following along with you and your journey(s). It isn't everyday I meet someone who, like me, moved from Martinez, CA., to Texas.
Oooo! This one just makes me smile! Great colors! I love the image of baby blue jays!
Beautiful! I love the colors in the leaves
I like your work. My wife loves Magnolias - none in sight where we live.

Great painting Lisalou.
I have a magnolia in my back garden too. Its big fat hairy buds are a sure sign that spring is on its way. Now it is just a big whoosh green.
Keep drawing and painting.
