- My sketching started with a weekend trip to Mendocino Labor Day 2007 with my sister-in-law and soul friend, Gretchen. We enjoyed a one hour sketching class with Susie Long and the rest is history! It became a way of restoring some balance in the break-neck pace of the corporate world. Now, unemployed with time to put some things on paper, I just can't stop sketching and painting!
